All new homes, workplaces and supermarkets must have electric vehicle charging points installed

Did you know that as of the 15th of June 2022, all new homes, workplaces and supermarkets must have electric vehicle charging points installed to support the nation’s electrification and Net Zero plans?

This legislation will also apply to properties undergoing significant refurbishment plans with over 10 parking bays.

As the UK is becoming more conscious about the environment that we live in, more and more drivers are making the switch to electric; a law like this will provide future EV drivers with confidence when it comes to making the electric transition.

The government says this change will lead to the installation of up to 145,000 EV chargers across England each year, building on the “over 250,000” home and workplace chargers it has supported so far.
